So, I needed a cake for my sons 1st birthday.. but as a cake maker myself (I wanted to make my life a bit easier by outsourcing the cake for his party) I was really uneasy about finding someone who would do the job how I wanted it done – so that I wouldn’t have to change or redo anything myself – I’m a bit of a perfectionist.
After asking for recommendations on Facebook and having gone thru page after page of different cake makers I set my heart on Marie (who knows what I would have done if she was unable to do it as she was the only one who’s work I had seen and loved.
Thankfully she was available for the date that I needed. Marie was very thorough in the questions she asked, to make sure my vision came to life. It was like talking to a friend I had know for tears. Marie was super friendly but also very professional.
Then, I had to change the date of my son’s birthday party due to the wonderful UK Weather. Marie was so wonderful in facilitating this. And she was still available to deliver the cake to the venue! Which took another stress out of my life.
Then, seeing the cake… OMG!! It was beautiful! It was as if she had seen the picture I had in my head and copied it. And the taste!!!! To die for!! It was just delicious!! And as soon as the cake was cut, it was demolished. Not a crumb left in sight!
